Terry Whitfield
Terry Whitfield served as partnership manager for the Foundation from September 2017 to April 2024.
Prior to joining The Skillman Foundation, Terry served as a youth development worker and community organizer for 10 years for organizations such as Southwest Counseling Solutions and Alternatives for Girls. He is a board member of the Metro Riverfront Optimist Club; a member of the Optimist International organization, dedicated to supporting children across Detroit; and a board member of 100 Black Men of Greater Detroit, a group working to improve the quality of life in the African American community through their collective resources, abilities, and experiences.
Terry was born and raised in Detroit, MI. He earned a master’s in youth development from Michigan State University. He enjoys perfecting recipes with his mom, playing golf with his father, and spending quality time with his son, Beau, and wife, Shea.
