Suzanne Shank
Suzanne Shank is the CEO and co-founder of Siebert Williams Shank & Co., LLC., the top-ranked minority- and woman-owned municipal bond underwriter. Under her leadership, the firm grew from a start-up in 1996 to one which has completed over $1.4 trillion in financings for municipal issuers and $1 trillion in corporate bond and equity transactions. She has personally crafted financing structures, credit strategies, and investor outreach plans for numerous large scale municipal bond issuers nationally. Prior to Siebert, Suzanne was a Structural Engineer for General Dynamics.
Suzanne serves on a number of industry and civic boards, including the Bipartisan Policy Center Executive Council on Infrastructure, the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, New York Citizen’s Budget Commission, Invest Detroit, the Wharton Graduate Board, the Spelman College Board, the Georgia Tech Advisory Board to the President, and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. Suzanne has received honors including 100 Most Influential Women by Crain’s Detroit Business, Top 25 Women in Finance by Essence Magazine, and 75 Most Powerful Blacks on Wall Street by Women in Public Finance. She holds a master’s in finance from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
