Lamont Satchel, Jr. (17) is a senior at Cass Technical High School. He is a member of the DPSCD Student Equity Council, Michigan High School Democrats of America, and a student ambassador at Cass Tech.

Lamont is dedicated to serving authentically to prioritize Detroit youth’s perspectives and concerns regarding their education. During his time on The Skillman Foundation’s President’s Youth Council, he hopes to work towards implementing a positive classroom environment, prioritizing student mental health and providing Detroit students with adequate resources to succeed.

In his spare time, Lamont enjoys watching documentaries, calling friends, and playing golf.
