Chris Stockton

The reasonable man adapts to the world. The unreasonable man adapts the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” -George Bernard Shaw.

Chris Stockton joined the Skillman Foundation in 2024 as a temporary Program Assistant before becoming an inaugural member of the new Learning and Impact team. In addition to his now permanent program assistant role, he serves as the L&I team’s knowledge manager, handling internal knowledge, external communications, and everything in between.

As a 23-year-old Detroit native, DPS graduate, and current resident of the city, Chris is both directly connected to and affected by Skillman’s work. Before his time at The Foundation, he was the President and co-founder of a 100% youth-run non-profit whose motto was “Shifting the world’s image of today’s youth,” so his passion speaks for itself.

Chris studied Philosophy, Business Administration, and Public/Professional Writing at Michigan State University. He lives on the border between Detroit’s East and West sides.
