Wellspring

$20,000.00

– A Family Day at the Wellspring Center: this would be an outside event in September and include food, live music, pony rides, bounce house, mountain biking on Wellspring’s newly developed trails, face-painting, Arts & Scraps, recreation games. We would use the Wellspring property, close off the street and also use some of property across the street from the Wellspring Center. It would be a time to kick back with the youth and parents and have fun, build relationships and enjoy physical activity. We may also add to this event an award ceremony for the youth, affirming them for their accomplishments in our Kumon program.

– Support for Wellspring staff to attend the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA.org) annual conference. We would offer this to our staff and it would be a 3 day virtual conference that provides workshops and plenary speakers 0n various topics related to community development. We would use funds to support staff registration and staff gatherings with meals to share with one another what was gained and how this can be implemented to impact the youth, families and community we serve.

– Other ideas include partnering with Leland Missionary Baptist Church (Leland Community Affairs, Inc.) utilizing their social and mental health programming. They provide excellent programming for the Brightmoor community.

– Trampoline Park, Belle Isle and more Arts & Scraps programming.
