This grant will provide general operating support to Urban Neighborhood Initiatives (UNI) as meaningful contributors to Detroit’s out-of-school time, youth-serving eco-system. UNI will engage Detroit children and youth in high-quality out-of-school time experiences and supports, where those experiences and supports grow participants’ social, emotional, academic, and/or post-secondary skill sets that lead to participant success in life. This grant also engages UNI with Skillman Foundation staff in an analysis of Detroit’s community development eco-system. This analysis will contribute to the Foundation’s strategy development throughout 2023
