This grant will provide general operating support to launch BridgeDetroit, a project of Center for Michigan (Bridge Magazine). Led by Pulitzer Prize-winning Detroit journalist Stephen Henderson, BridgeDetroit will produce public service journalism with local media partners. It will engage Detroiters to identify and respond to the issues they see as crucial to their lives and to their understanding of the city’s civic life. The Foundation invests in local media to ensure Detroit youth and families are informed of and included in public policy and decision making.
