The Skillman Foundation

This grant will support Mack Avenue Community Church Community Development Corporation (MACC Development) to engage 150 Detroit youth, grades K-12 from the 48214 community, with high-quality and high-impact expanded learning experiences within safe, supportive, and engaging environments. These experiences will serve to strengthen social, emotional, and high-school and post-secondary skill development through summer 2022 and school year 2022-23. The grant will connect youth with positive adults who will provide support through tutoring and homework assistance, athletics, and college readiness programming and support. This grant also allows MACC Development to investigate, design, and pilot a new post-secondary program to provide high-school graduates with ongoing and career supports.
