This grant will support Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in implementing the Targeted Reading Internship Program (TRIP), through which 100 K-8 students across five Detroit GVSU charter schools will receive flexible, 1:1 virtual literacy tutoring. TRIP will partner with the Oliver Wilson Scholars (OWS) program to engage 50 incoming GVSU students as tutors throughout summer 2022 and school year 2022-23.
