Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program

This grant continues support to Downtown Boxing Gym (DBG) Youth Programs to provide high-quality and high-impact after school supports within safe, supportive, and engaging environments to 180 Detroit youth, ages 12-19, for summer 2022 and the 2022-23 SY. These resources will allow DBG to engage participants in year-round career exposure and engagement, improved health and wellness through sports and mental health resources, academic supports, and youth leadership opportunities. Additionally, this grant will support DBG leadership, staff, and youth to engage in local and statewide afterschool/out-of-school time (OST) advocacy coalitions that support increased resources that strengthen the Detroit afterschool and OST ecosystem.
