This grant will support a partnership with Athlete Transition Services, Inc. (ATS) and Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) to deliver career exposure opportunities, social-emotional learning (SEL)-skill development, and mental health supports to 400 student-athletes (50 per school at Osborn, Pershing, Denby, Henry Ford, Communication Media Arts, Cody, Central, and East English Village). ATS will also provide professional development to 110 coaches and district athletic department administrators to strengthen their skills and ability to best support meaningful connections to students that enable whole child development.
