This grant will support Detroit Horse Power (DHP) to provide high-quality and high impact afterschool experiences within safe, supportive, and engaging environments to 150 Detroit youth, ages 11-19. These experiences will serve to strengthen social, emotional, and high-school and post-secondary skill development through summer and school year experiences with horses and a high-impact social emotional curriculum. This grant also allows DHP to investigate, design, and pilot a new post-secondary program to provide high-school graduates with ongoing and career supports
