The Skillman Foundation

This grant will enable Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences (DAAS) (K-8th grade) network level leadership team to deepen and expand so DAAS continues to raise the bar of excellence, build out the most engaging academic program, and assemble the best team to support students. This grant is one of four visioning grants grounded in building and advancing Black leadership power in the education landscape and establishing trusted partnerships with The Skillman Foundation. It will provide unrestricted capital to design and implement innovative solutions to the challenges Black charter leaders face in the current pandemic and broader education context.
