Cranbrook Art Museum will host Autophysiopsychic Millenium for a summer residency to support the development of a curriculum centered on Black self-determination in creativity based on the teachings or Dr. Yusef Abdul Lateef culminating in a new site-specific performance derived from Lateef’s 1988 Afrofuturist novella “Night in the Garden of Love”. This project brings together Horizons-Upward Bound and Cranbrook Community and Multicultural Affairs for an enriching cross-campus collaboration.
