This grant will to provide a final year of support to the Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE) Fund and its partners—the City of Detroit Department of Neighborhoods, Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation (DESC), and Connect Detroit—to continue the integration of financial education and counseling, banking access and savings services into Detroit’s largest youth employment program, Grow Detroit’s Young Talent (GDYT), and those served by DESC’s year-round youth employment programs. The Detroit Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) and FEC provider Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency are also partners in this effort.
