This grant will renew support to Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE) Fund and its partnersthe City of Detroit Department of Neighborhoods, Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation (DESC), and Connect Detroitto continue the integration of financial empowerment and banking access into Detroits largest youth employment program, Grow Detroits Young Talent (GDYT). Within
DESC, the CFE Fund will newly partner with the WIOA program team. Additionally, the Detroit Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) will now provide financial counseling to GDYT participants in partnership with FEC provider Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency.
