This grant will continue support to the full-service Detroit Bureau of Chalkbeat, a nonprofit news organization covering the effort to improve schools for all Detroit children, especially those historically lacking access to a quality education. It works in partnership with other local media organizations to extend its reach. The Foundation invests in media to inform education decisionmakers and to ensure Detroit youth and families are included.
