This grant will continue to support the reporting and community engagement of the full-service Detroit Bureau of Chalkbeat, a nonprofit education news organization, to ensure that Detroiters have access to critical information. Chalkbeat works in partnership with other local media organizations to extend its reach. The Foundation invests in media to inform education decisionmakers and to ensure Detroit youth and families are included.
