This grant will continue to support the implementation of the Skillman BMe Vanguard Fellowship, launched in 2019, to cultivate Detroit leaders whose dedication to improving opportunities for young people has earned them the respect of their peers, coworkers, and community. The fellowship trains participants in the art and science of public persuasion to help them tell an accurate story of the vital roles long-time Detroiters and Detroit youth have played in sustaining the city and in building its brilliant future.
