The Skillman Foundation

This grant will support a partnership led by the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Metro Detroit (BBBS) to a establish a Standard of Practice training and certification program for youth-serving mentors/volunteers that centers Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. BBBS, with Strategic Community Partners and Center for Success Detroit, will conduct a literature review, and landscape scan, to analyze and existing volunteer development opportunities (including Center for Success Detroit and BBBS). The partnership will establish a Community of Practice, with willing non-profit partners, to take part in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the development tool, with official launch by end of year 2023.
