The Skillman Foundation

This grant provides continued support to the Michigan Education Justice Coalition (MEJC), a statewide network of organizations committed to advocating for equitable public education policies and funding to create safe and healthy learning environments in which young people can thrive. This grant enables the organization to continue uplifting the voices of parents, youth, and educators and building their capacity as education justice advocates. In the upcoming year, MEJC will continue to focus on training and supporting school board members and activating parent and caregiver organizers while also expanding youth organizing efforts.
