Mark Reuss

Mark Reuss is president of General Motors Company. Reuss is a mechanical engineer who began his career with GM as a student intern in 1983. He has held numerous engineering and management positions with GM brands, including serving as Executive Vice President and as chief engineer of GM’s large luxury vehicles and manufacturing body shop tooling launches.

Mark was born and raised in the Detroit area and is deeply committed to revitalizing the city via education, community, and philanthropy. He is a member of the ITT Exelis board of directors. He also is on the advisory board of the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, a chair of the Cranbrook Schools Board of Trustees, the Cranbrook Horizons Upward Bound Advisory Board, and vice-chairman of the GM Foundation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering degree from Vanderbilt University and a master’s in business administration from Duke University.
