This grant seeks to address the connection between community violence and school disciplinary issues through a collaboration led by Wayne State Center for Urban Studies’ AmeriCorps Urban Safety Program (AMUS) and Cody High School in partnership with other school and community partners, as well as supporting the existing partnership between AMUS and Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) to implement strategies focused on the connection between these two issues
