The purpose of this grant is to support the United Way for Southeastern Michigan (UWSEM) COVID Response Fund to enable up to nine community-based organizations to continue providing remote learning locations for Detroit students. In partnership with Every School Day Counts Detroit (ESDCD) and the Community Education Commission (CEC), these dollars will allow those organizations to continue providing remote learning support for Detroit school children, as well as contributing to safe spaces during the upcoming summer, focusing on grades K-8.
