This grant supports Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) to close out its AmeriCorps Attendance Success Coach program within the Department of Climate and Culture. At each of eight high schools, (Henry Ford, Mumford, Detroit Collegiate Prep at Northwestern, East English Village, Pershing, and Denby), success coaches will target 40 students (total reach 240 students) deemed at-risk by school leadership based on attendance and behavior for targeted support. Success coaches will engage in door-knocking and home visiting efforts. Additionally, this grant will provide targeted resources to coordinate accelerated learning supports for target students.
