This grant will provide continued support for the Every School Day Counts Detroit (ESDCD) coalition of community partners and system stakeholders through the coalition’s fiduciary relationship with Brilliant Detroit. ESDCD is committed to lowering chronic absence rates in Detroit. This grant will allow the coalition to expand its footprint in two additional neighborhoods, demonstrate its combined model of technical assistance, wraparound services, and communications (including utilization of youth voice) in six schools, and strengthening best practices of early childcare providers around attendance.
