The Skillman Foundation

This grant will continue to support the implementation of the Skillman BMe Vanguard Fellowship to cultivate Black Detroit leaders whose dedication to improving equity in Detroit—particularly for young people—has earned them the respect of their peers and community. The 2022 fellowship will select 10 Black young leaders in their 20s to expand their knowledge, networks, and influence so that they might build a more caring and prosperous Detroit-area. Each selected fellow will receive $10,000 seed capital to support their ideas for change.
