The Skillman Foundation

This grant provides support to 482Forward to partner with the Student Advocacy Center (SAC), a current partner of the Foundation, and the Education and Economic Justice Coalition, a West Michigan organization, to expand the Social Justice Youth Organizing Immersion program—focused on the development of youth leaders and organizers—statewide. This grant enables the partnership to engage 40 Michigan youth from Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities across the state to explore civil rights history, learn organizing skills, and identify gaps and opportunities in the state’s current education landscape.
