Kathryn Polaskey serves as the grants assistant supporting the grants manager and the rest of the team at The Skillman Foundation.
Kathryn is originally from Benton Harbor, MI and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Genomics and Molecular Genetics before serving as a high school science teacher in Detroit Public Schools. Throughout her professional career Kathryn has worked with non-profits to support education and healthy communities locally in Detroit and globally.
Kathryn recently completed her Master’s of Public Health degree through The University of North Carolina’s Gillings School of Global Public Health. When not working, Kathryn can be found rock climbing, reading, or riding her bike around the city.
