The Skillman Foundation

The grant will support the Damon J. Keith Center at Wayne State University by building capacity to provide strategic guidance and support critical initiatives of influence across the city. In particular, our funding will enable the Director of the Keith Center, Peter J. Hammer, to continue as an active advisor engaged in the emerging Racial Equity Blueprint initiative in collaboration with New Detroit and Detroit Future City. Further, our support will provide stronger opportunities for the Detroit Equity Action Lab (DEAL) fellows to connect with, collaborate on, and inform initiatives across the city, further establishing the reach of the Keith Center’s vision and values across the city and region.
