Cody Rouge Project

The Cody Rouge Project is a private-public partnership between the Cody Rouge Community Action Alliance, General Motors, Quicken Loans, DTE Energy and the Skillman Foundation that aims to improve conditions for children within a 40-block area in Detroit’s west-side Cody Rouge community by combining physical development with educational programming, youth development and workforce development programs.

While each partner involved in the Cody Rouge Project has longstanding commitments to supporting the Detroit community, the Cody Rouge Project presents an opportunity to combine and coordinate resources within a target area and under a shared, resident-led vision. Cody Rouge residents are engaged in the project through the Cody Rouge Community Action Alliance, a nonprofit organization that supports Cody Rouge community members and stakeholders in enacting the changes they wish for their neighborhood.
