Punita Thurman named a 2016 PLACES Fellow
The Funders Network for Smart Growth PLACES (Professionals Learning About Community, Equity & Smart Growth) Fellowship challenges assumptions and exposes fellows to new ways of thinking about the role of philanthropy in empowering historically underserved and low-income communities.
The fellowship helps strengthen leaders’ efforts across the country to better integrate education systems in land and city planning. Thurman was chosen as a result of her strong education knowledge and experience.
