Dr. Bauder chairs board from 2003-2005

Elected for a three-year term starting this year, Dr. Bauder has been a trustee of The Skillman Foundation since 1989. Dr. Bauder is vice president - Corporate Affairs at Masco Corporation, and President of Masco Corporation Foundation.

Prior to joining Masco Corporation in 1996, Dr. Bauder was president and CEO of Cranbrook Educational Community for 13 years. Before Cranbrook, she served as an administrator and professor at the University of Detroit for 15 years.

Dr. Bauder is a director of Comerica, Inc., DTE Energy Company and The Detroit Institute of Arts, where she is Vice Chair of the Board. Additionally, she serves on the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.

Dr. Bauder was chosen by the University of Michigan as one of its Distinguished Rackham Ph.D.'s of the last 50 years. Crain's Detroit Business has selected her as one of "Detroit's Most Influential Women".

In 2001, she was inducted into The Douglas Society. Dr. Bauder graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Douglass College in New Jersey. As as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow, she chose to do her M.S. and Ph.D. at the University of Michigan.
