BME initiative asks black males to share their stories
BME ("Be Me"), launched by the Knight Foundation, is seeking stories of black men or boys whose actions have made Detroit stronger.
Stories submitted by Friday will be eligible to receive grants totalling $200,000 to help start a dream project or expand current work.
The BME initiative focuses on lifting up the work of black men and boys across Detroit who engage and lead others in the community by sharing these stories will fellow Detroiters.
