Arts workshops in two neighborhoods

Franklin Park and Warren/Conner are two neighborhoods where middle-school students will have opportunities to participate in visual arts and design instruction with professional artists and instructors. Provided free of charge to neighborhood youth, the program is designed to develop and nurture students in the field of art and design.

The Neighborhood Arts Workshops Program was created by the College of Creative Studies and managed by Mikel Bresee, Community Arts Partnership Director, since 2001.

The program will inspire youth to make the visual arts a part of their lives, bring education in art, design and new technologies to the greater community, and inform young people about career opportunities in the visual arts and design.
