Youth Development Request for Qualifications Now Open
I'm excited to announce that the Skillman Foundation's 2016 Youth Development Fund Request for Qualifications is now open. The goal of the fund is to support organizations, programs and people that deliver high-quality out-of-school programs to neighborhood kids.
We know that many of the youth who are least involved in out-of-school learning and development come from challenging backgrounds. They often live in neighborhoods that lack resources and have parents who work long hours. Providing access to youth development programs addresses a critical opportunity gap that children in Detroit face, and filling this gap helps prepare them for more and better opportunities as they age.
This open RFQ process allows us to hear from the community at-large. We hope to receive innovative applications from those who have applied for funding in the past but weren’t successful, current and previous grant partners proposing new work, and potential grantees who have never applied for funding before.
Applications are due by noon on Friday, April 22.
