Listen Up Mayor

The Detroit Parent Network has launched the Listen Up Mayor campaign , funded by The Skillman Foundation, in an effort to help Detroit parents voice their opinions about policy and practices that impact children. With the voices of Detroit parents leading the way, the campaign aims to call on the new mayor to develop and implement a children's agenda for the city, with a focus on education.

About 200 people attended DPN's kickoff event for the Listen Up Mayor! initiative, where mayoral candidates explained their agendas and parents completed surveys on their concerns. Noticeably missing from the event was Detroit Mayor Dave Bing. Read more.
