Alan Harris
Alan Harris joined The Skillman Foundation in 2002, with many years of experience in the financial markets. As the Foundation’s Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, he is responsible for developing all investment-oriented aspects of the Foundation’s portfolio, including asset allocation, manager due diligence and selection, manager monitoring, and risk oversight. His responsibilities span all asset classes at the Foundation, with the majority of his time spent on marketable and non-marketable alternatives.
From 1995 to 2001, Harris was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Munder Capital Management where he was a founding member and co-manager of the Firm’s suite of Internet and technology style mutual funds and separate accounts. His responsibilities included strategy development and implementation, security analysis and selection, marketing, media relations, and private equity. Earlier, he was a Senior Equity Fund Manager/Senior Research Analyst at Woodbridge Capital Management, where he managed small and mid capitalization growth assets.
Harris received a bachelor’s in Economics and an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
